Mike Irie mk II Classic "Barry B. Wood" knife
After stumbling over a presumably Italian copy of the Barry B. Wood system folder I am kind of hooked. The copies seem to be as rare as the originals because they proved to be too expensive in their day (1970ies. So I´ve got myself another copy (to be seen in "European and other foreign made knives"). Well I thougth, now it´s time for the real McCoy and found a knife made by the son in law of the late Barry B. Wood, Mike Irie. This is even my first knife made by a custom knifemaker.
It was made in June 1996 and is the #166. Blade steel is 440A, handles are black linen Micarta.
Now I guess I still need a folder that was made by the master himself.....
