Wow....nice pistols guys!!
Got my new Winchester Model 70 Sporter in last night but was busy packing so no picture until next week. Got the rifle in wood with blued furniture and the caliber is .25-06. More than likely will install a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-12 on this one. Also put another Model 70 on layaway.......a .264 WinMag.

Monk I've had one of those BARs in 7mm Remington Magnum for the past 28 years. I traded into mine as well. Once I had it, I never considered trading it for anything else. I love that gun and it has harvested a lot of deer over the years. It has never failed to function properly. I hope you'll enjoy that gun as much as I do mine.

Nice Browning Monk - and it's an older one without the lever sticking out the side - very nice! OH

Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
Today's project was a new deer skinning rack at one of the hunt clubs - the old one, build of ancient telephone poles, had sheared off at ground level. Two of my hunting buddy's worked with me - we used two 6"x 6"x 12' treated posts to rebuild it today - was able to salvage the balance of the old rack and reuse the parts. One or two more work days and everything will be ready to go (assuming we don't get a hurricane in September - a bad storm will usually tear everything up pretty good). OH

My first post to this topic. I just added a nice S&W model 28 Highway Patrolman to my small collection of guns. Does anyone have a reference and can look up this serial number. I would like to narrow down the production date. N 276233 Model 28-2. Thanks
