I found this Schrade Walden thermometer at a local antique store today. Of course it's a modern thermometer but I still like it. I have a hard time passing up any type of cutlery related items.
I know Remington cutlery had an advertising thermometer back in the 30's, I wonder if Schrade did also ?

I have one hanging in my garage. They're neat. Bought it on eBay, new of course.
