Something about this old Schrade Cut Co that makes it photograph rather nicely I think.

Thanks. This is my first GEC or Tidioute: I have not learned their pattern number system yet. The pattern begins in 54 so I guess it is a 54. The handle material is called Sandbar, which if I understand correctly is a kind of acrylic. It would not be my first choice for handle material, this was kind of an impulse buy. It seems to be a tough knife.

Good photography on that very nice boot knife, Roofsc. I have found that both polished steel and mother of pearl are difficult subjects.

Here is another MOP knife, my first ever. If anyone knows who made this whittler, I would like to find out. I know that some Kentucky Cutlery Association knives were made by Frank Buster/Fight'n Rooster, and this knife looks to me as if it were made by them, but the only markings on it are the KCA name and Germany.

The MOP handles and the fat gold blade etching makes me think it was a Buster Fightn' Rooster make.

Dinadan your knife was imported by John W Hickey & sons of Louisville Kentucky.
Made by Olbertz co. Germany, same company that makes Fight'n Roosters.
