I had to go down the mountain to Boise to pick up a truck load of material for an upcoming cabinet job. The cabinets are for a remodel that has existing maple cabinets I have to match. While I was picking out my solid material, I came across an unusual amount of tiger striped or "ribbon" maple in the unit I was digging through. I only needed about 90 bd. ft of material for the job, but I ended up with 127 ft.! I just couldn't pass it up.
Some of the boards were 13" wide! Beautiful stuff. So.....if any of you guys have any plans to replace some handles on any knives and would like some of this....just PM me with your address, the thickness you'd like....and I'd be happy to send you some. Obviously, I have plenty. I'm the world's worst packrat and I just couldn't see letting some other guy come along and scarf this stuff up. Not for $3.87 a bd. ft!
