Bought this unused but damaged, Case XX 1940-1964 Yellow 31093 Toothpick, I knew in my heart it had some life left in it. I contacted Case & Sons Cutlery and ask them to restore the knife, they agreed and did the job for only $31,

They did a great job. The knife is feels like it was fresh out of the box.

Marks on blade are after bead blasting the pitting and rust, I love the look. Shows the true age and gives it character. My compliments to Case & Sons Cutlery

Looks like the cell handles out gassed, not so much how you stored it

That's awesome! Those older Cases are much better quality than the modern ones. Congrats!

I agree with Dave and the others, great save! I've become a fan of leaving the indents left by the pitting, what choice do we have anyway, it just keeps that used but still usable look to the toothpick. Money well spent, IMO! As Dimitri said, a definite out gassing occurred.
