wondering about stone handles

Post by songsingingman »

I've been noticing pocket knives with turquoise handles and was just wondering how they cut and fit them. Also what type of glue do they
use. Can some of you shed some light on this for me. Any help would
be apperciated. Songsingingman ::shrug::

you can use whatever adhesive you like. Reconstituted stone can be worked just like bone, with a sander, files, sandpaper ect.

hi, i'd like to take this a bit further. i have about 25-30 pairs of stone slabs that have been cut at about 1/4". they are semi precious and minerals: malachite, tigers eye, agate, a variety. how would one go about using these to handle a knife. they are mostly round, some square. some are large enough to handle a small hunter or fighter. many would only be good for a "folding hunter" or smaller. where to begin? thanks in advance to all..................b
