Case Barlow

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case Barlow

Here's a fine old knife with iron bolsters and liners. It's a mile long and rather stout.
A working mans knife.
Thanks for looking.

Wow Joe that is a good looking knife! Some large slabs of bone on that one, love the saw cut and the coloring on the bolster ends, looks like a summertime sunset, very handsome.

Very nice one Joe. Great knife and a workhorse for sure.

I personally think the 6143 is an overlooked pattern but it sure is a good one. I only think I have one but it is a beauty. It is a USA saw cut red and white accents that they hafted out most of the saw marks on. Some faint saw mark can be seen but it is more like smooth, flat bone. I love that knife. Not sure if they made a whole bunch or not but I have seen a boatload floating around.

Great pickup on a fine pattern. I know you collect various makers but you seem to be picking a lot of nice CASE knives lately.

Regards, Jerry
