Re: Old Keen Kutter Knives
I purchased about half of those knives previously. Not sure why the picture won't enlarge?
Hopefully these pictures will help, going to post the hoof knife in the Other Sharp Objects thread.

Posted this on another thread but thought I'd put it up here. Not in the greatest of shape but it,"spoke" to me and I had to bring it home.Someone obviously liked this knife for a very long time.Wonder what stories it could tell?

Sweet looking knife, knife7. Too bad we can't "grow" the metal back on some old gems.

Re: Old Keen Kutter Knives
Have posted this before but thought it would fit in on this thread. My first ever e-Bay purchase many years ago from a woman in St.Louis.Never saw a box with this many shelves. This one has holes in the bottom indicating it may have been mounted on a platform(possibly with wheels)as I doubt anyone could easily carry it unless it had really light stuff in it.Am a little hesitant to put knives in it as I have a similar tackle box with twelve shelves that I had to repair the hinges because someone had overloaded it.Not sure exactly when it was in use but the KK decal on the side has a 1943 date on it.

Re: Old Keen Kutter Knives
Posted that last comment by mistake, wasn't quite finished yet. Nice haul of Keen Kutters, redrider. Ray, I wonder what kind of samples that large case originally held? Very nice knives MikeB, MrB, fonzie and Joe. Love the bone on the equal end, Joe.
Mike (galvanic1882) already posted a couple of pics of this Keen Kutter stockman a couple of pages back, along with a beautiful trapper, but he was kind enough to sell the stockman to me and here are a couple more photos. Alvins Sellens says this one (K3734) was manufactured from 1914 thru to 1929. The spey blade and the spear blade have the common E.C. Simmons keystone stamp with St. Louis over MO under the KEEN KUTTER. The clip blade has MADE over IN over USA under the KEEN KUTTER (the USA is hidden by the bolster). Sellens says this was a less common stamping likely used sometime in the 1920's.

Re: Old Keen Kutter Knives
Great looking knive, danno! This Alvins Sellens; does he have a book out on Keen Kutters or is he someone you know? Possibly both? Other than Sargent's pictures and a little information in Goin's book I don't have any information on Keen Kutter tang stamps but would like to learn more.

Re: Old Keen Kutter Knives
Thanks redrider. The book is titled "Keen Kutter Pocket Knives". It is published by Schiffer Books in 2004 (www.schifferbooks.com). I got mine off ebay.

Re: Old Keen Kutter Knives
Here are a couple of old KK stockmen.
The knives both appear to be Camillus made examples identical except for the Shapleigh shield.
