Herman Williams-My Latest Addition

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Herman Williams-My Latest Addition

Post by Schradenut »

The Schrade 75th Anniversary Clasp, has long been one of my favorites. I asked Herman if he would be so kind as to make me one in Stag, which turned out to be a problem as Stag is now very hart to find in big hunks.
However after much ado, he was able to fill the order.
It was a long trip from South Carolina to Spokane to Australia, but on casting a critical eye over it, find that it is one of the most amazing knives i have seen, and definitely the best worked knife i have seen.
When he says fully worked, it is fully worked. He doesn't miss anything.
Check it out and see what you think.
Tony.

Amazing Tony! ::tu:: ::tu:: ::drool::
I would say it is fully worked and then some!
That is beautiful work, but Herman was the one who really started customizing knives, at least of Schrades. ::nod::

What I like most about it is how well the handles are matched. That's just astonishing. ::woot::

I wished I lived a few thousand miles closer, I would love to see both your collections!

Take care my friend.

Dale,

Email inbound.

My small collection pales into insignificance compared to Tony's.

His latest display cabinet is nothing short of brilliant.

take care also, Chris.
