Anybody seen one of these before?

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Picked this up recently - first counter hone by Queen Cutlery that I've ever seen.

Thanks Joe, I thought so too. I've seen a few counter hones in hardware stores thirty or more years ago, and have been able to acquire a couple of Case counter hones and a generic one. Saw a Remington counter hone for sale on eBay a few weeks back. But never seen a Queen counter hone anywhere. Roofsc, do you recall whether the one you used was a Queen, or some other brand?

You see them occasionally on Ebay, though hardly ever with the blue sticker. Some I have seen show the dishing and gritty look that comes from use, but this one seems quite nice.
