Upscale Schrade Barlow

Post by orvet »

This was a Schrade #206 Barlow with fancy bolsters. I am not a huge fan of the bolsters, but they do look different than most standard American made Barlows of the 20th Century.

Camillus used the SCC+ tang stamp on many of the knives they made for Schrade. Interestingly enough, this knife has the Swinden rivet in the front bolster, so I would think the knife was assembled at Schrade, even if Camillus made the blade. Schrade was the only company that had the machinery to use the Swinden system.

I thought the giraffe bone handles was a major upgrade to this knife. This one was spoken for before I finished it.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, sorry I took them indoors due to the deluge we have been getting here in the Pacific NW.

No, I bought this bone at the OKCA show in April 2014.
