The knives are:
Camillus Pilot's Survival Knife--Dated May, 1967. Tip of blade broken off. Part of handguard (where the two holes are that would presumably be used for lashing to use the knife blade as a spear) is broken off as well. I will be making a display stand for it--I will save $40 for a military surplus one as a user. I'd say the knife had a very interesting history with who it was originally issued to.
Ric Nor Electrician's Knife--so bad it's parts only. A bolster is about ready to come off, the blade is excessively sharpened, and the handles are practically crushed. Since these aren't worth much, even in like new shape and hardly used, I already borrowed the lanyard bail.
Cherokee Cutlery Trapper--a huge folder, with about a 5" blade. Made in Germany. Has "Tennessee Walking Horse" and a silhouette of the namesake breed of horse on the white plastic handle. Appears to be like new. Is serialized "959" on one bolster. I need more information on it--so here's a photo.
Steel Warrior Trapper--like new, seemingly never carried.
Remington Trapper--like new, shield fell off (but was found in plastic bag seller packed them in)in shipping. It and the Steel Warrior are some of the best Chinese knives I've encountered, and I'm surprised by it being a Remington, as others of this brand I have owned are pure garbage. Sharpened up well, and I put it with my tools as a work knife.
Antonini Cable Knife (I think, as it isn't marked, a German company has one similar, but I believe it's made by Antonini, actually)--a solidly made (in Italy!) knife that has wood handles that feel great. Handles were treated with linseed oil and blade sharpened after I cleaned it. This is a great candidate for a user.
Pakistani Stockman--Not too sure on this one. From what I've heard, many from this country aren't good.
Victorinox Bijou SD--OK but blade will not close completely. Has CAE Systems advertising inlaid on back. Appears as if the whole frame is slightly bent.
And really, the most intriguing of the whole lot--an unknown knife with a Buddhist Temple and Japanese writing (possibly a Buddhist prayer?) cast on handles. It had to have come from Japan
