The A.W. Wadsworth coke bottle must be related to a snapping turtle, it's got some real spring to it!

The N.Watts & Co. I can't find in Goins or on the interwebs. Any info at all would be a big help.

According to Goins, R.D. Hardy produced knives from 1884-1885 and has some relationship to Boker.

Both the Turners appear to date to 1901-1921 based on the use of 'his Majesty' vs 'her Majesty'. They both seem to be well made knives that have stood the test of time. I suspect the bail on the rigging knife may have been attached afterwards, it looks like copper and while the ends are nicely finished, the pinning is rough.

Sam, that bail may be original. Tony Bose bought a Yukon trapper from a friend of mine,which had a brass (?)bail,which he thought was a replacement. Tony told him that it was original to the knife.I don't know the reasoning for that material.

The bail is original, I have a dozen of these and have examined a hundred more over the years, It is copper never seen brass on these during this era and they were not to fussy about how the steel pin looked when they put it on.

Great knives Sam. The first one could be John Watts Sheffield. The Thomas Turner with marline spike is similar to the Admiralty Pattern 301. The 301 had steel bolsters though. This was the standard British Navy knife from 1910 to about the mid 1930s. I suspect your knife dates to a similar time. The copper bail is original to the knife.

Here's the knife,with the original copper bail, which Tony Bose bought from a friend. It's a Catt,along with Tony's Kinsfolks and Case above.
