Re: SHARE YOUR BENCHMADES
I just got it Monday, but I have been putting it through its paces really good.
I cut up a bunch of cardboard boxes for recycling this week.
Today I put some new anti-fatigue rubber matting in my shop, replaced about half of the old matting. I had to cut the old matting up to get in in the garbage can. I cut it in about 1' squares, must have ended up with about 20 1' squares. The old matting had sand and small gravel in it and duct tape on it.
By the time I was done the blade was covered with tape residue and was really dragging, but no nicks from the rocks in the matting.
I cleaned off the blade with Goo Gone then stropped it. It was back to hair popping in no time.
I didn't really needed to strop it, the biggest problem was the residue on the blade.

Re: SHARE YOUR BENCHMADES
In case ya didn't see it in the other thread, I pulled the trigger on this one this morning. It should be here this week sometime. Sellers picture. Benchmade 555HG-YEL MINI-GRIPTILIAN. As I said in the other thread, I would have rather had the orange but they are discontinued and really expensive when you can find them.

Thanks Phil & dogg. I've read a lot of good things here on AAPK about the Grip & Mini-Grip.

Benchmade duo, fixed and folding - both with S30V blades, G-10 scales and part of the "Hunt" series. Made in the USA, what's not to like?

John, that pair would make a really neat display to set out or hang on the wall. Cool knives.

Re: SHARE YOUR BENCHMADES
Thanks for your kind words.
Believe it or not, that fixed blade has the first Kydex sheath I've owned. I think I like them, simple and durable.

I have a few from years ago....hopefully I have good ones. I know little about them...I was told by a friend to just buy them and keep them. Don't use them...hold on to them...so I did!
