two jacks: one capped and one not so much

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

two jacks: one capped and one not so much

Post by waggo71 »

I have always had a soft spot for the 6235's and just ran across a dandy with a shield and a high nail nick, haven't seen many of those on this pattern. The 6216 was an accident, I was bidding on an XX and didn't get it, settled for this one as consolation...then I found out that it is kind of a rare duck with the CASE USA stamp since they were discontinued '68. Anybody wanna try to date the 6235?

Well judging from the tang stamps I would say the 35 is 1940-64 and the17 is 1965-69.
