I've had my eyes open for a long time for an Anvil Stockman in decent condition - found one in a pawnshop earlier this week. OH

Thanks Scott - it has good walk and talk, no wobble, the plastic is shrinking a tad bit, but a good representative piece. David - you have been buying them all up! Nice collection of Colonials. OH

I am excited to post my first pictures in this thread.

This first picture is one of my favorite Colonial pictures. Not only are they a couple of my favorite Colonial knives but I really like this picture.

I am also adding another Colonial Fish knife I like very much. This beautiful brown celluliod. I bought this beauty from a very nice guy right here on AAPK! Thank you Knifeaholic!

I'm listing some knives in LOTS tonight and was kinda goin' through this pile of steel when I stumbled on this carver. I said to myself.....I think I'll make this into a blade lifter by hacking of 95% of the blade and.......wait......better see if there is a tang stamp.

When I saw it I thought of our new AAPK member Brain.....

I had time to take a few more pictures today.

These Colonial jack knives were made in so many colors and are a lot of fun.

One of the white ones is bigger than the others and has 3 blades instead of 2. Its the only one I have ever seen this size. The green one is my favorite out of these. Love that green and it has a swedge on the blade that just looks cool.

Also, notice the 2 white ones. One is a little bigger than all the others and has a 3rd blade, a spey blade. This is the only one of these I have ever seen.

Must be more somewhere but I dont think they made as many or I would have found them and bought them by now. (Just kidding.. but maybe not) (Colonials... Its a sickness!)

Happy to have someone that can enjoy these with me. My wife can only say " Yes dear, very nice picture" so many times!

Quick one for today. 2 white Colonial Trappers.

Interesting comparison. Old and Older.

One is the curved stamp from 1926 to 1938 and the other one is from about 1973.

I made the picture look like it was from an old photo album.

Very nice! Any of the older USA made knives are great, used to not think too highly of Colonials, etc.. but they have become a lot more appealing as I learn more about them. I guess I found out there was more to life than Case, Tree brand and Old Timer

Yes I agree there are so many amazing old USA made knives.

Colonial is my favorite but I like a bunch of others too. I will eventually start taking pictures of some of my others. Kabar and Kent NY are a couple other real fun ones I like.

But I have a bunch of Colonials to finish first.

I am taking pictures of Forest Masters today.

Here is a fun one. A Colonial toothpick easy open, handles replaced with micarta.

This changes the knife so much. Adds a little weight and make the knife very solid.

I have had knives rehandled and it really makes them useful again gives them a great new look.
