Gevelsberg is in Western Germany in Westphalia, Ruhr Valley.
A google search says that this company made bicycles and motorcycles, sewing machines, and who knows what else.
Oddly, the inscription is in Spanish.

Nice machete! Perfect EDC for the Amazon jungle...
Machetes are probably good items to round out an export catalog, hence the Spanish inscription. One site I saw related to this manufacturer had pics of old catalogs with woodworking tools, so this sorta fits in.
