Ima wearing my ROOSKIE gold medal

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

MrB I believe you've got one of those International Cutlery investors tied up in the back room using a hot branding Iron on him to squeeze these kind of knives out of him.
That one is special. Don't tell me we've got better ones to come.

That is a 'one in a million' knife. It is the 'most mint' knife i have seen. It is also a most highly desirable Schrade Cut Co: big, saber grind, perfect etch. I am overwhelmed by this knife.
This certainly is the All Time Gold Medal in Knife Finding, as well as Gold Medal for Best Vintage Knife of the Decade(Of The Century ?).
I would sure like to know the source !

How come more AAPK'ers have not posted their amazement. This really is a phenomenal knife. Most of us will never own a vintage knife of this caliber. Maybe everyone else fainted when they saw Forest Champion ?

Kj what's more amazing is that MrB has scored two of those in one deal.
