Ima wearing rented high top bowling shoes

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

MrB, nice looking cattle knife! Is it approximately 3 5/8" long? The handle jigging does resemble Schrade to me, but I have no experience / knowledge with Jack Knife Ben. I do like the knives I've seen.

You should look at this thread: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... 74#p483974

There is a similar looking knife being discussed by a member whose username is jacknifeben.

Nice looking old knife, the Jack Knife Shop tang stamp is not as common as the Jack Knife Ben stamp, in my experience. Schrade made quite a few knives for Ben.

Definitely late Schrade Cutco or early Schrade Walden. Never heard of that tang stamp. I have seen some for Jack Knife Ben store.
