Tom Williams has passed away

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Though I didn't know him well, he was always free with information and needed parts. He will be missed.

I never met Tom in person, but we exchanged many emails about Camillus and spent many hours on the phone. Tom was a wealth of knowledge about Camillus Cutlery Co. and he shared it freely with those who were interested. Every phone conversation with Tom was an education in all things Camillus.

Rest well my friend you will be missed!

Yes, she worked at the Cutlery for 50 years and retired.
Then she came out of retirement and worked another 5 years for the Cutlery and retired as a Vice President of a department, (I don't recall which department).

Tom did say that she managed the Buck account for many years.

.......reason I asked was, several years ago, after the closing, I bought a Camillus cap and 2 t shirts on ebay- when I paid, I got a note from the seller asking me why I was interested in Camillus. after I told her my grandpa had always carried a Camillus, she told me she had worked there 50 years and her son had been there many years working in production or production control, and I have always wondered if this was tom's mother????................ ::shrug:: ...........................

Vitaly -- I copied all the emails from Tom that you posted on the Big Forum so far and pasted them into a Word Doc. If you would rather I don't do that, let me know and I'll stop. If you would like a copy of the Word Doc, please PM your email address and I'll be glad to share it with you.

I put these materials freely available for everyone, so everyone can convert it as you wish. Private information I replaced the symbols ***.
For myself, I have kept all Tom's emails, so a Word-file I do not need. But anyway, thank you for your concern and one of my emails you can see on the website camillusknives.ru, in the section "Contact".

A little later, I will need help related to these emails, and you'll understand why.

Vitaly,
If I can help in the translation, please let me know.
I know we share a lot of the same information from Tom.
Perhaps I can assist when it comes time for translation, unless you can find someone fluent in Russian, English and Camillus.
