Schrade Rogers SR01 Change a Blade set

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Schrade Rogers SR01 Change a Blade set

This was made in 2003... the collaboration between Schrade and Richard Rogers, with a plan to make 500 sets... I don't think that it ever got that high. It comes with 4 blades and a beautiful smooth green bone scales, with inlaid mother of pearl shields, with a button for "catch and release" of the blades. My set has the slip cover, the box, the leather pouch and the handle/blades, which are unused but is missing the numbered certificate. My set is #130, which is on the box and engraved on the knife.

It is even nicer in hand! This was a well thought out piece and they do not sell cheap.

I am fortunate to have that set in my Schrade Room as well.
