Heritage H194 in orange
Fun color! Nice knife... that was used very lightly. I haven't seen very many of these.

NICE! Has anyone ever figured out if that knife is part of the Smokey Mtn. Knife SFO of orange knives? I brought it up in a thread awhile back but didn't get a conformation.
I scored a green one a few weeks ago. It's a Skoal knife with a Schrade shield instead of the Skoal shield.

Nice Skoal! I have the Cope also... tobacco knife wars!
In researching the orange H194, I found this Worthpoint ad from 3 yrs ago...
http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/s ... -487143078
And another ad that said this: "Comes in a Blue Striped Gunstock Trapper Box that was re-labeled 194OTO. Very collectible knife."
http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/s ... -535452463
194OTO would indicate a run of Orange in 194OT. Why they use the Heritage tang stamped master blades is mysterious. No indication of SMKW SFO, that I can find.

Re: Heritage H194 in orange
So, it looks like the used Heritage tang stamped masters and then sold them as 194OTO.
When I rotate this image below and read the bar code, the 2nd line says BC194O. Not sure what BC means, but clearly it's 194O. Not OT. Is this what they would have done for SMKW for a run in Orange?
The other color I've seen is a purple / lavender H194.

Would love to pick up an orange 194. I have 2 194OTs plus a Craftsman marked one in black with brass bolsters.

Good new (to me) info on the 194OTO model number and box. The blades for these knives may have come from this maroon '97 or '98 Heritage collection knife. SFOs and some limited editions and odd balls that show up use left over blades from other editions. These Heritage blades show up on several knives in several patterns.

yep! the 194OTO is a clue. The Maroon ones I've seen before.... notice the different box from the blue striped one. That might be another clue.
Anyway, I picked up the orange one and it was in need of a good cleaning and it had some epoxy on it. Cleaned it all up and you see the knife in the 1st post above. Got it for $20.00 as-is. No box or paperwork.
