Got this Kershaw hachett to handle some of the larger limbs needing to be pruned.

Thanks for the comments. It has proven itself handy around the place. Wish they had provided a sheath or cover of some sort for the head of the cutting edge.

I contacted Kershaw on your behalf and they told me it comes with a protective cover for the head. If you didn't get one and you bought it new I would call them.

Thank you Mike. I am waiting to hear back from Kershaw. However, the Tinder hatchet did come in a blister pack with no cover. I know the seller is reputable and is not holding them back. Also the item is being discontinued. I'll see what K says but my thought is they have another hatchet with sheath. Thanks again.

There's also a guy on eBay that sells hard covers for that Tinder. Just type in "Kershaw Tinder", an about halfway down the page you'll see them for $20 OBO.
