Well I have dismissed learning to whittle/carve (whichever term you prefer to apply) for a LONG time. These are some wood spirits I did over the weekend, the progress from my first one to my most recent one I did a couple hours ago from left to right. Everything was done with a pocket knife except for the hair, I used a V gouge for that for simplicitys sake. The first pic is my first 3 from willow that I did yesterday, the second pic are sycamore that I did today. They look more 2D in the pics than they do in person......
Thanks for looking
I won't start fishin here for a couple months monk, no suitable ice this winter for any fishing . 60 degrees in February, in ohio! calling for 70 by frinday. fishin' may start sooner than normal if it keeps this up!
Excellent whittling there, Muskrat man! Very impressive! I've bought hiking sticks on the bay. Just plain ones in dogwood and hickory but they have other softer woods - spirit wood hiking staffs like in the first photo that go for higher prices. You could make yourself some money with that talent.
