That sold quickly! ::nod::
I thought your Schrade 293Y looked familiar MrBlister.
Than I realized that I have the same knife and posted info on it in Dec. last year. Below is the original post:

Here is my Schrade Walden N.Y. USA 3 7/8" Full Trapper #293Y Wired Display Knife. I obtained it in 1990 from the Knife & Gun Show in Pomona Ca.
It has beautiful obvious wire fade marks. It appears as though it had been in direct sun display for a long, long time.
This pattern was made between 1948 and 1973. Being that it was a "Carded Knife" I assume it is one of the earlier manufactured Shrade Knives.
Schrade made two patterns of #293 Full Trappers in this time range: (#1) 293 Bone Stag and (#2) 293Y yellow composition.
The "Sprayed" clear Lacquer/Varnish bubbles on the blade perhaps from over-spray or reaction to cold steel.
This Schrade is from 43 to 69 years old as of 2017. It has never been used or sharpened.
The knife itself is not scarce or even particularly rare, but being that it has the history of being "Carded" does qualify it as being a "One of a kind" and the value of this knife should not be based on money, but is based on historic value.

It's always important to know what you don't know.
