Lube and Oil $3.50
Nice example of a Schrade SC507. This was given to me today by a shootin buddy. He didn't recollect where he got it or how long he has owned it. Says it was never carried or sharpened. Has the original sheath. Any ideas how old it us? Has some very nice verdigris. Something like a sierial number 0392. It's exactly the same size as my Buck 110.

"Very nice verdigris" makes no sense, to me. Clean it off, it's a form of corrosion. Try an old toothbrush/ toothpaste. Or not, it's your knife.

I think that is a very cool knife. Never saw that handle design before which makes sense as it is a limited edition. And, yes, you will most likely want to get rid of any verdigris. Congrats on your fine acquisition.

The OP, ( that's me ) is looking for a Schrade expert to help me with approx age, what company they are promoting? It looks like a Texaco star on the pump.

Took care of the green slime with a toothpick and Hoppes #9. Came off easily and left very litte damage. Found the registration slip stuffed in the bottom of the sheath.

Nice knife, obviously an SFO for someone.
It is odd that there is no name, esp if it was an advertising knife.
Cool knife nevertheless!

That knife was done for TEDA (Tool & Equipment Distributors Associates) in 1990, it's one of a three knife series started on 1989, each one featuring a mechanic working on a car. There were approximately 1100 knives made in each set. Nice example!
