Shrade SC503

Post by Top Windy »

I recently bought a Shrade USA SC503 liner lock trapper that has brown Delrin handles. Everything I find on the internet shows SC means Scrimshaw, not brown Delrin. Has anyone else seen this?

T.W., welcome to AAPK. If you like knives this is a very enjoyable forum with many helpful members.
Schrade USA closed in 2004. In the months prior to closing employees were instructed to assemble the existing parts into completed knives. Mix & match of parts was o.k. as long as everything fit together properly. These knives are often referred to as End of Days knife.
Likely you have one of these EOD knives.
However to confirm this a picture or 2 is needed, so please post some.

::welcome:: to AAPK Top Wendy!
I am curious about your name, are you retired military?

KJ pretty well covered what I would say about Schrade in the End of Days knives, so if you can post some pictures of the knife it would be really helpful for us to identify it. If you can't post pictures yet, let us know when someone will help you post the pictures. It's really easy you just upload them to AAPK and we host the photos, you don't need a photo hosting service.

Welcome aboard!
