ID unnamed Knife

Post by Sut Tatersaul »

Here is one of my neatest, and most used knives. I carry it in my dress pants pocket, and use it for a money clip. It's one of my most used knives. It is made of dull Stainless steel, the blade is 1 3/4", overall length is 4 5/8" open, and 2 7/8" closed. It is what we used to call a switch blade knife. It is constructed using very small threaded starr headed machine screws. It is totally unmarked. I bought it at a gun show, about ten years ago, don't know what I paid for it, but I really like it, and would like to know the maker. Can anyone on this forum help? Thanks.

Was most likely made in China.

Here is another unnamed knife that I have. It has a money clip, scissors, knife blade, and a fingernail blade. Don't know where I got it, or what I paid for it, but I certainly would like to know the maker. the only markings on it are a #64-1501 on the Stainless steel body of it, and 420 stainless, marked on the knife blade of it. the scissors, and the fingernail blade are unmarked.Anyone on the forum help with an ID? Thanks.

It's difficult to save for sure who made something like that money clip, especially just from a picture, but it looks similar to a money clip I have seen made by Zippo, though they are usually marked with the Zippo name. It also looks somewhat like one I have seen made by Kai Cutlery, the parent company of Kershaw.

The trouble is a lot of companies have made those little money clips with scissors, nail file and knife blade on them.

Think smith & Wesson made the original of the auto but they were cloned too.

The first one looks like it might be an MTech and the money clip looks like a Barlow Japan product. Probably wrong on both. ::shrug::
