Five Free Farters(gassy)
If you like to polish blades and install new & beautiful handles, you might want these 5 knives, free except i would like the recipient to cover postage. Shipping from Canada is expensive but would not be more than $20usd.
2 Buck Creek, 1 Indian Head, 1 Fight'n Rooster, 1 Eye Brand
All 5 were made in the Olbertz factory by the same employees between early 1980's to maybe 2000.
The F'nR 4 blade Serpentine Stockman is i think the best knife of the lot.
Please email me if interested: [email protected]
Also, please only speak for them if you are sure that you will 'fix them up'.

They sure are Ray, but the blades are still good as is blade action. Plus these knives are mostly never used (1 was used).
If the liners are o.k. then they can become good knives again with new handle pieces. If the liners are weakened then a person will end up with some extra blades.

Wow - just seeing those fine knives in that condition makes me wince. I really like the Olbertz made knives that I have: hopefully someone can restore those. By the way, for those knives I think Deutschgassers is a better word than farters!

These knives are now packed up and am headed to P.O. now.
Thanks for the interest. Yes it is a good feeling to know they will receive treatment for their affliction. Cell handles were a dumb idea even back 100 years ago.

Given 100 years of 20-20 hindsight, yes. At the time obviously not, given how popular they were. If they had known then how volatile celluloid was they may not have used it.kootenay joe wrote: Cell handles were a dumb idea even back 100 years ago.

Those are some nice ones, Roland. Very thoughtful of you.
At first I thought it was me, but then I decided to followed the scent and ended up here.
