A pair of Dad's Miller Brothers knives

Post by 58chevy348 »

Thought I'd share a couple of my father's knives which he has given to me. Back in the 1970s, he purchased these two Miller Brothers knives (used) for $10 each. Oh how I wish I could go back in time!! Dad had a small collection of quality knives (maybe 30 total). When he passed them on to me several years ago, that's what got me hooked on collecting!

They both show wear but the quality is still intact. Nice knives with a lot of sentimental value for you I'm sure. ::tu::

Philco, yes the sentimental value is strong. I am hoping someday the knife collecting bug will bite my 12 year old son, but until then I am careful to try to place a strip of cut index card underneath each knife in my collection which documents where the knife came from, date acquired, price I paid, and approximate value (along with info about the knife maker / pattern). This way, should something happen to me, my family will know which knives are family treasures and which knives are just additions to the collection.
