I have a Buck pocket knife model 506. It has a single blade and is roughly 2 3/4" in the closed position. The knife tang is
engraved on 3 separate lines Buck whose B is scripted, 506 and U.S.A. I think the knife dates between 1973-1985 because
the tang has the model number, Buck and U.S.A. on the tang. I read from reading a post during my research that the
script B in Buck means it's limited edition. I am having difficulties identifying the name of this knife. During my research
I thought this could be the Knight Gold Micarta pocket knife but more I researched it the more doubt I have because of the
wood grain that I see within the knife handle. I am thinking the handles on my knife are some sort of wood because of the
wood grain. I would like some help in identifying the name of this Buck model 506 knife.

I too think your knife handle scales are micarta, like KJ said. Most micarta I use are one of three types, canvas, linen, or paper base. I believe yours is a linen type . It show "grain" when ground and polished, kind of like wood grain. Canvas micarta really has course grain so I don't that is what yours is. Nice looking knife.

You could be right but any paper base micarta I have used doesn't show any grain, might make a difference who makes the micarta? I'll show one I made 4 years ago with yellow paper base micarta. Your Paul knife sure shows wood like grain, nice knife! Terry
