The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Got to the local flea market Sunday morning. Third table in, I look into the glass covered display case on the table...typical China made slipjoints...along with this one...

Needless to say, I bought it.

Wow!!! Congratulations Steve! That's what keeps us going back to flea markets and such. I hope I get rest of it looks that good - Truly a dream come true.

Good find. Don't see as many 1303 like you do the 1306.

Just seen this post and made me smile and a little envious ~ fleamarket days don't get much better than that ~ hows the blade look "good" ~ ?

I had to look it up to know what all the Ohhh-s, and Ahhhh-s were about.
Remington 1303

I see a couple different models of that knife were made.
Would you please list more of the details so us newbs have an idea of what we are looking at. ::shrug:: (besides a cool looker)
