Buck scout knife.

Post by espn77 »

I saw this Buck scout knife on eBay. I have a few questions since they now will be making the Remington knives. Have they made scout knives before? When will the first Remington knife be released?
Thanks Keith

Hi Keith - Buck made a few official Scout knives that I know of:

Boy Scout Circa 1985 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BUCK-MODEL-412- ... SwCU1YxYZj

Cub Scout Circa 1987 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BUCK-414-U-S-A- ... SwhURZiGmU

Boy Scout Philmont Commemorative Knife Circa 1988 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BSA-Philmont-50 ... SwXetZQvHo

Personalized Eagle Scout Knife (current) https://www.buckknives.com/licensed/

Hope that helps. I'd be interested in knowing if they are going to complete the authentic recreation series that was started in 2009 but the 2013 edition never was produced because Bear & Son's never received a purchase order from BSA (according to Ken Griffey).

I've read that the new Buck Remington's will be part of the 2018 product line. Something will hopefully be announced at the Shot Show in January.

Will they be made in the USA or elsewhere?

Ray, I've read that a section of the Idaho plant has been set-up to build the Remington knives. Everyone who avidly follows/collects Buck Knives is waiting to learn what the Remington contract knife line will consist of - hasn't been released yet to the public. OH
Ps Buck makes a modern folder with the BSA markings on it as well.
