Needing information

Post by Alexisballer »

So my bf recently bought me a nice looking switchblade. I don't see any makers mark on it so I'm gonna assume it's a chinese knockoff but thought I'd post a pic as I don't know much about switchblades. If anyone has any info on it I'd appreciate it!

I have no idea really but if it doesn't have any markings that is red flag. You may get a better response if you post in the switch blade forum. And welcome to AAPK.

The absence of markings does not necessarily mean a crappy knife, just as presence of markings does not always indicate a good knife. i.e. it is more important to examine the knife than to read the markings.

It's a rizutto, possibly worth up to $150 or more depending on condition and if it's made in Japan. They are cheaply made but they are highly collectable! Make a post on talkblade.info with a pic of your knife and I'm sure someone there will point you on the Wright direction.

It has some markings (Stainless Steel maybe?) but can't see them clearly. I did a search and was reading that there's a lot of rizutto switchblade clones out there as well. ::shrug::
