It's a cool old knife, but I'm afraid Ray is right, it doesn't appear to be a really valuable knife.

It looks like a re-handled Mexican Bowie to me. I'd google translate the inscription to figure it out but I can't make it out from the pic.

Ebay always has quite a few big older knives made in Mexico and basically similar to yours. Selling prices vary but often these knives sell for ~ $25. Likely the seller knows this. His price is 40 times this which means: seller is a smart businessman ? or, seller is being unethical ? Could be seen either way.
