The bar at the back fits around the tang of the file and is held by the two small bolts; at the front a small wedge holds it in place.

Thanks so much for the views of your file guide. I am going to make something similar to use for the folder I am making. I just started making my first folder yesterday,,,, I am beginning to see there are certain THINGS that have to be done in specific order for you to have success.
(I have one repair to make.....LOL)
