What is going on with me.

Post by TKC »

I have started a job last week, which requires me to be away from home 3 1/2 days a week. I stay in Boston when I am at work, and I do not have my computer with me. I wanted to let you know why I am not around much.

Also, I have a major health issue going on. I have been having major nasty headaches. Well, I got the results of my MRI back today. It came back that I had a small stroke. My doctor is sent me for some bloodwork; SED rate, Arthritis Panel, CBC. A She ordered STAT bloodwork. And WILL be sending me to a Neurologist. At first she wanted to send me to Mass. General to see a Neuro Surgeon, but decided to send me to a Neurologist near me, and then if THAT doctor wanted to send me to Mass. General......... She also called the Radiologist to pull up the MRI I had in 04; which the report was negative, and this latest MRI. So, I will go back to my doctor on Monday. Hey, it can always be worse!! I AM in shock, I must admit. She prescribed Fiorinal for headache pain, and Compazine for the puking. I will keep you all updated. I am not worried, as I trust God, and God tastes most excellent care of me!! I just wanted to updated you guys! I am 39, NOT hypertensive. I quit smoking almost 5 years ago.I do not know what type of stroke; blockage or leak, or where in the brain. I see my doc. today, so hopefully I will have these answers.

TKC,

I am so sorry to hear the bad news, you have been missed on the board and my prayers and thoughts go out to you. I have been wondering where you have been, but I just figured with the new job that your "me" time has shrunk and you were trying to adjust to your new work schedule.

Please keep us abreast of your situation and know that folks are lifting you up in prayer...

Regards,

TKC, you keep the faith brother and God holds the reigns of your life. ::nod:: I've been through two open heart surgeries and I'm doing fine. Technology today is so good that the last time they patched me up while my heart was still beating (no heart machine)!! I'll add you to my prayer list immediately. ::tu::

UPDATE!

Post by TKC »

I went to the Neurologists today, and she does not think I had a stroke. She looked at my MRI etc. She belives that I have Transformed Migraine. Hmmmmm. She really seems to know what she is doing!! She gave me 2 shots in my head. The next step is to take 1 Depakote 500 mg. Sat, and 1 Sunday. Then, I go to Zanaflex 2mgs. If thise stuff doesn't help, then I will go to the hospital for IV infusion of Meds. She also gave me 500 mgs of Naprosyn & 10 mg of Reglan PRN. We will see. The shots haven't helped yet. The pharmacy has to call the Doc. as she didn't put a quantity on my Naprosyn. And she is sending me for blood work to see about a granuloma disease.I will be going tomorrow for that, as it was too late today to do so.Needless to say, all this medical stuff that I have been going through has made life very difficult. Thanks for all the prayers!! I am sorry I haven't updated you guys earlier. Thank you for your understanding.

Since you like green knives, here's one that arrived today that I think you'll like. It's a Shepherd Hills 2005 Calendar Series.
You might want to check them out, as they are getting low on some of the dates.
