Help identifying this Case blade
Hey folks. Just wondering if someone might can help me nail down what pattern this blade belongs to. It's obviously a 1965 - 1969 manufacture date range, and at first I thought maybe it was for the 32095, but it is my understanding all of these were stainless. With no pattern on back of tang, I would assume it's for a multi-blade knife. -- Or is it possible this blade was just never stamped with the pattern number from the factory, and could possibly be a large single blade (like a 6193 fisherman's knife / toothpick)? Thanks!!

How about that blade being from a 6265?

Looks like a 48 pattern blade to me.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I think it's too large / long for the 48 pattern, but I didn't think about the 6265. That might just be it. I have couple of 6265's--I'll try to compare them in a bit and let you know. Thank you!!

It matches the profile of the 6193 perfectly. I know the 93 pattern only came in a single blade. If you look closely at the blade, you will notice some linear "swirl" marks across the length of the blade. I'm really thinking this was an unfinished blade from the factory which was never stamped with the pattern number. Thoughts?

The tang looks to me like it was installed in a knife/handle.
Can you mic. the thickness, and compare it to a similar blade for thickness?
You may be correct or it may be an attempt to remove pitting , and it just went too far, and was abandoned. The thickness should confirm this either way.
