He has 6 of these listed.
Are they the original Fife made by Bertram Hen & Rooster prior to AGR buying H&R ?
I thought that original Fife are marked with the Bertram Hen & Rooster logo. These knives have no Hen & Rooster logo.
Are these more recently made copies of the original Fife knives ?

I believe they were made around the same time as the others, before AGR purchased them. Not all of the Fife knives were marked with the Hen & Rooster logo but I believe they were all made by Hen & Rooster. The Fifes with the Hen & Rooster logo generally sell for $100.00 more thereabouts.

I have seen folding knives with stag handles marked "Jeffrey" and others marked "Voss Cut Co." that i am sure are recent reproductions but the listings imply they are vintage. Cannot find any of these listed now to show as an example.
Hence i thought these Fife Cut Co might also have been not the originals.
I cannot see collectors now paying anywhere close to $450 for one of these. Most would more likely buy 2 or 3 GEC's with $450.
A "C. Bertram" Stag 4" Congress in unused condition now might bring in $225-$250 max.

Generally the Fife Hen & roosters will bring more than the C Bertram marked knives, as will others like Mutt, Kane, John I Son and Mar-Cal. The Gutmann Mark is more common.
I have seen some newer Voss cutlery knives but haven't seen any newer Jeffrey marked knives.

Thanks again Tom. I value and appreciate your help with German knives of the latter half of 20th century.
I emailed the seller saying i was unsure that these knives were original Fife knives. Here is his reply:
"These are the original contract knives from fife owner of gem ray jewelry in the late 60 s to eariy 70. This was part of his personal collection".
As Tom confirmed, these are the original Fife Cut Co knives.
This thread is now ready for the next person who is unsure of authenticity. The buck stops here. (said the doe ?)
