Missing Persons
I didn't take the time to search for their most recent activity, but just anecdotally, there are some frequent posters that I haven't seen posting lately.
Rob In Tennessee for one and he was not set up at the Dalton show as he usually is.
Also Mr. Blister.
Anybody know anything re' either.
Also, is there anybody else that's been absent lately?

Hey Charlie
Funny or maybe odd is a better word but I was also wondering about Rob the other day. Hope all is well with him.
Sometimes we (myself included) take a sabbatical from the forum due to general things in life, etc, so that is a possibility also.

Re: Missing Persons
Colonel26 - concerned about Wade and how his wife is doing with her medical issues. Someone posted a few weeks back that they had heard from him and he was just busy with life.
CheckSix. Haven't seen anything from him lately but his profile shows he checked in a couple weeks ago. Hope he's okay!
And I know he's a somewhat controversial character, but I miss old Blister and his antics.

Re: Missing Persons
Texted with Wade yesterday or the day before. Life is a whirlwind and he's got stuff going on.
Rob hasn't posted since May 24, '17 but he stopped in for a ghost visit Feb 4 '18 so it looks like he's at least suckin' air.
Blister last posted Aug 15, '17 and stopped by Aug 17, '17. He dropped out of sight back when folks were making light of some of his antics or at least that's the way I saw it. Who knows.
Haven't seen Iron Hoarder in a coons age.
It's good to see Rob (whitebuffalo58) posting again. Missed that rascal.
stancaiman had been gone for a long time but recently popped in for a short visit.
There are a boat load who used to make up our daily crowd and for one reason or another have slipped away.

Somehow, I think Mr. Blister was banished for life without the possibility of parole.
I have sure missed Wade's posts. Been worried about him, his family and his bees.

Cal, Jarod (rigwelder) hasn't been active since October of '14. No idea why.tongueriver wrote:I really enjoyed the posts by rigwelder. Long gone?
Mike, Josh was offended because a couple of folks took exception to his use of all capital letters in his posts. I've checked on him a couple of times through email and he says he's doing well. I too miss his sorry keister, caps or no caps.313 Mike wrote:Haven't heard anything from Josh, aka Junebug in a long time...had some good trades with him over the years, scored one of my favorite Case knives from him back in 2012.....where ya at Bug??
I let Wade know this afternoon that there are folks asking about him. He said "I'll be back on directly". When you're busy living life, sometimes you don't have time for extracurricular activities.Paladin wrote:Somehow, I think Mr. Blister was banished for life without the possibility of parole.

Re: Missing Persons
Chris, don't rely too heavily on my memory. As Ray has alluded, he may have been the architect of his own demise. I recall the dust-up, just not the details. Besides, what's done is done and I shouldn't have drug it up. It serves no purpose. My bad.royal0014 wrote:I too thought of junebug a few days ago.

Ken,
I'm fine. Very sorry about being MIA from here. Work has gotten extremely busy in this economy. I've had to put some things on the back burner. You know the old saying of striking while the iron is hot.
I checked back in recently when Hurricane Michael hit the panhandle of FL, to see how Philip (Treefarmer) fared. It took a while but I finally saw him post up again and was very glad to see this.
Hope all of you are doing well.
Best!

Dave, it's good to know all is going well. I hear you about the economy - gotta make it while you can! I see "now hiring" signs everywhere. Is your knife disease in remission, or are you just acquiring them and holding out on us?

Ha! Sadly, I haven't added much to the knife collection recently. But have been getting the urge to start looking again. Stay tuned!
Back on the economy for a minute... the corporation I work for, has been in business for 70 years. The last 18 months has been the largest growth the company has ever experienced. And not by a small margin... over 150% growth. It's been extraordinary. We are closing in on annual sales of $1B. That's pretty good for a privately held company.
