Looks European, a slender, wicked looking dagger. I like.

It is very well made. I was going to sell it on ebay but every time I start to list it, I say to myself. Why?

That crown stag has lots of character, I wouldn't part with it either. Thanks for posting. ::tu::

It looks a lot like the knives made as collectibles in Toledo, Spain.

I must confess I've looked at this knife several times and am still in a quandary. It looks like it could be from either Germany or Austria. It is very similar in style to an Italian artilleryman's knife but doesn't have the graduations on the blade. The guard doesn't look like it is original to the knife. The stag has a bit of wear on it from holding the handle so it is likely quite old. The sheath(from what I can see of it)looks like it may have been attached to a frog which would indicate possible military use. Looks to be too delicate to be a hunting dagger for finishing off game. Are there any markings at all on either the knife or the sheath?

I have looked it over under magnifying glass and can not find any markings. The blade is diamond shaped and is roughly 3/4" wide and a 1/2" thick at the hand guard. The blade is really rigid and is not sharpened on the edges.
