Picked this up a couple days ago. I think its probably a back yard creation.

What would that larger V-notch on the spine be for? Cutting line? Gutting?

No clue, it is nice and sharp so Mr. Marten intended to cut something with it. I just think it is a neat little creation. I have several custom knives in my collection and this one will find its place with them.
