I Found A few Schrades at the OKCA Show

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I Found A few Schrades at the OKCA Show

Post by orvet »

I found a few good Schrades at the OKCA show this last weekend, April 6th to 8th.
There was buying, selling, swapping and horse training involved, but it was a pretty good show for me.
I got a lot of stuff other than Schrades, though I do have a couple things that are Imperial Schrade that I left out of this picture.

Have fun finding all the goodies in the big pile!

Interesting stuff, Dale! I see a variation in one of the 152 sheaths. ::hmm:: There must be something special about 152s? The Trapper in the tin is a real looker! ::tu::

The 152 sheath with the keeper strap was issued for the first very few years only.

Yes that strap that came down over the top was too easily cut when taking the knife in and out of the sheath so it had the be moved. I like the over the top one better though, it's easier to snap and unsnap the strap.

Nice 2OT in there Dale! ::tu:: ::tu::

Thanks guys, I think there was another Schrade or two I missed, but this is only about half the stuff I got at the show.
I got Charlie's new TC Barlow with the Soup Bone handles, the OKCA 2018 Club knife, which is the smooth opening & closing GEC I have ever seen! I should have gotten one to EDC! ::dang::

I will have to post more pics in the proper forums. ::nod::

Not to be picky but that keeper strap rounded at the end was the 2nd variation...on the first issues, the keeper strap was pointed at the end.
