Atlantic Cutlery

[OLDE CUTLER]

I picked up this old knife at our local flea market over the past weekend in a $2 an item bin. It is tang stamped "Atlantic Cutlery Co. Germany". Appears to be a swell end jack and is 3 1/2" long. Goins gives Atlantic Cutlery dates from 1900-1914, so more than likely this was imported into the USA until the outbreak of WW1 and then ended. The handles appear to be ebony, and the rear one is missing, but the front with the nice shield is intact so it will not be difficult to replace the rear with a piece of ebony. Kind of a neat OLD knife.

That's pretty slick, especially for $2. You could fix that up pretty quick and have a really good knife. Nice find OC.

I finally got around to replacing the missing rear handle on the Atlantic Cutlery Jack shown above that I picked up a couple of months ago. Found a piece of ebony that matches the front very closely.
