$150 is probably a little steep. I'd give you $50 for it in a heartbeat, but I think you should be able to get more in your auction.

I do not collect exactly that type knife. For what I do collect, if I saw a Case in that condition going for less than $40 I would make a bid. I have a couple of Cases not too different that I paid about that for. If for some reason I had a craving for that knife, maybe $60.

Case XX mark indicates post war manufacture. The steel liners are likely just because it was a cheaper model with the rough black scales.

Point I was trying to make was......submit an offer (when I mentioned to do so in last weeks post) and as an AAPK member I probably would have accepted.

Ask Philco he knows.....

Well Scott, if nothing else, you have intrigued a few people - you now have 21 Watchers on that auction! ::tu::

I pointed this out to Scott in a PM, the knife he is offering appears to have NS liners, not steel. According to Knifeholic's pages on the 6308, it was always made with NS liners until 1978, then made of brass. I'm trying to recall any knives I've encountered with NS bolsters and steel liners. ::shrug:: That one ought to do pretty well on E-bay.

Scott has been great to deal with. I've made him several offers on knives he had for sale and we usually are able to come to terms pretty quickly. I never felt like he was trying to rob me. I hope he felt the same way about me. ::paranoid::

Hmm, I was always taught it's probably not a good deal unless both sides think they got ripped-off... ::tounge::
