Stanley M Axe
I have a couple Stanley Axes marked with M on each side of the word Stanley. Anyone know what the M stands for?

mrwatch, much thanks. That was one of my many guesses
Would you happen to know the time frame of manufacture?

Stanley axes did not appear until the early 1970s.

Re: Stanley M Axe
I have only seen Stanley hatchets, so I looked them up on "Yesteryears Tools" It says they were making axes as early as 1913, and later, Collins may have made some, after they had been acquired by Mann. I'll have to keep my eyes open for an old one, Joe.
