counterfeit Tested Case Copperhead

I would recommend staying away from this one if you like real Case knives.

Oh yeah! That's one of those across the room fakes there. Just look at that straight line jigging and run. :D

Now correct me if I'm wrong here fellas but the knife we know as the copperhead was actually the 6200 early in it's existence and there are very few if any tested era 6249's out there. I seem to recall having seen one I believe. Am I correct or did I just dream that?

The lines on this knife simply do not look correct. But I have no idea what the pattern and handles were back in 20-40. The blades seem that they are in incredibly good condition.
Are people bidding who know what’s what? Or what’s going on? Incredible that the price is this high w/ so many days to go. Of course the highest bidder might have his bid in and that’s where she tops out at.
Curious what others think and if someone has an example of one of these and it’s authentic?

They did indeed make them. I have one listed on eBay and there are a couple others listed as well.

Tom I knew they were pretty scarce from the tested era. That is a nice one you have listed. ::tu::
