These SFOs for Norm Thompson were among the first 165 OTs manufactured by Schrade Walden. They were mixed in with regular 165 OTs and were all in the first run with serial numbers, which were on the left side of the knife. A few hundred or a few thousand; I don't know the numbers for sure but they were low. The Shikaris had a stunning very rare (now) sheath. The knife in the listing here on ebay has a very late 165 OT sheath, and the shield does not match the knife.

Good catch Calvin. A person needs to know the early history of 165 to spot this. I remember when Codger went on his 165 exploration. Is this the knife that the first ~200 or so did not have a serial # ?
I think the correct Shikari you show is your knife. Very special. One of a very few mint examples.
