Coles N.Y. Germany Stainless Pocket Knife

Post by BMar6678 »

An old knife from my Grandfather's collection. I was wondering if someone could tell me approximately when the knife was manufactured, and if there is any value to it. Thankyou in advance.

Welcome to AAPK! Nice looking knife. Goins' Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings says that stamp was used 1969-1975.

Regarding value: any knife that was your Grandfather's is priceless.

I couldn't agree more. Never planned on selling it, but if I ever donated it to a museum I was just curious.

I had one that was identical to that and was made by Bonsa. I would bet that was made by them as well. All I have left of it now is the blade;I tried to make a switchblade out of it.Bonsa made a version that was automatic.
